Breakfast at St. Paul’s
Food insecurity causes suffering for many people in our region. In response, the parishioners of St. Michael’s have been preparing and serving a weekly breakfast at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Kansas since 1998. Incorporating volunteers from various churches and organizations in the region, this ministry provides a delicious breakfast with love and compassion every Saturday morning. Each week the guests are invited to a meal of scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee and juice.
How can I help?
Volunteer: St. Michael’s provides the volunteers to prepare and serve food on the 4th Saturday of each month. There are two shifts–6:30-9:00 for food prep (age 18 and up) and 8:30-11:00 to serve food and clean up–with veteran servers always around to provide orientation. From 8:30-9:00, volunteers bag groceries provided by KC Nourish for those who attend the breakfast.

Donations: Financial donations, which help pay for food and supplies, can be made by writing a check, with “Breakfast at St. Paul’s” in the memo line, and mailing it to the church.
