Learning & Spiritual Practices
Children
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs" (Matt. 19:14). At St. Michael's, we want all our children to feel loved with the unconditional love of Christ. We seek to provide them a foundation in faith and virtue so they will grow in both wisdom and character.
Youth
"O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds" (Psalm 71:17). At St. Michael's, we seek to honor the profoundly deep and sometimes challenging nature of adolescence. We work to provide a safe and engaging space for teens to explore their faith and to grow in their knowledge and love of God.
Adults
"Give instruction to the wise, and they will become wiser still; teach the righteous and they will gain in learning" (Proverbs 9:9). At St. Michael's, adults of all ages gather to learn about the Bible, the Christian faith, and the spiritual practices that define and shape us. We strive to understand the world around us, seeking to identify the work God wants us to do.
Education for Ministry
A worldwide educational program in the Episcopal Church, Education for Ministry (EfM) invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened. EfM seminar groups meet in local settings and online, and provide a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity.
